Accelerating Digital Transformation at Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group
Recently, And-Dot Corporation conducted a specialized training program on Microsoft 365 Copilot for TFHD Digital, the digital transformation hub of Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group. This initiative is part of a larger effort to foster digital competency within the group’s workforce, aligned with their ambitious mid-term management plan for 2030.
What is the AX Production Business?
The AX production business refers to the comprehensive framework provided by And-Dot to enable businesses to realize AI-driven transformation effectively. This goes beyond merely supporting the adoption of AI tools; it includes a complete revamp of business models with AI at their core, fostering a sustainable competitive advantage. By deeply understanding management challenges and on-ground operational processes, And-Dot supports everything from selecting the most suitable AI technologies to implementing them and ensuring their integration into the company culture through education.
Objective of the Training
Tokyu Fudosan Holdings has set ambitious goals such as training over 10,000 personnel in digital transformation (DX) and investing more than 100 billion yen in technology. TFHD Digital, tasked with driving these efforts, enlisted And-Dot due to their extensive experience in leveraging AI for over 300 companies and more than 250 municipalities. The training program was designed to be immediately applicable, ensuring that participants could utilize their newly acquired skills promptly in real-world contexts.
Program Structure Based on the AI Skill Pyramid®
The training comprised four chapters, all structured around And-Dot's unique educational framework, the AI Skill Pyramid®. This systematic program helps participants acquire AI skills progressively, spanning four key layers: AI Literacy, AI Creativity, AI Prompt Design, and Technical Skills.
Chapter 1: Changes in Business During the AI Era
This chapter explored the pivotal role of Generative AI in DX strategies and provided an overview of Microsoft Copilot. Participants were presented with a gradual strategy for implementing Generative AI, covering everything from utilizing chat-based AI tools to transitioning existing business processes to AI-driven formats.
Chapter 2: Hands-on Generative AI Experience
Participants engaged with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in a hands-on format, experiencing fundamental features such as text generation, information retrieval, tabular output, and image creation. Exercises included practical prompts like “requesting explanations from AI” and “creating visual representations,” simulating real-world applications.
Chapter 3: The Three Essential Skills for the Generative AI Era
This chapter emphasized the foundational elements of the AI Skill Pyramid®. Participants learned about AI Literacy (understanding AI’s value, usage risks, and limitations), AI Creativity (conceptualizing potential applications), and Prompt Design (skills for eliciting desired outputs from AI), all through interactive workshops.
Chapter 4: Distinctive Strategies in the AI Era and Paid Features of Copilot
The final chapter introduced advanced functionalities of Microsoft 365 Copilot, such as integration with Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel, highlighting specific use cases for enhancing efficiency in report creation, automatic slide generation, minute-taking, and data analysis.
Expert Instruction by AI Specialist
Leading the training was Kazuki Komori, an AI Specialist at And-Dot, who previously served as a technical expert at Microsoft Japan. His ability to break down complex concepts into digestible language contributed significantly to an engaging and informative learning atmosphere.
Participants’ Feedback
Post-training surveys highlighted a keen interest in practical applications of Generative AI. Attendees appreciated the clarity of the explanations and expressed their eagerness to delve into more advanced, subject-specific skills. Participants noted that this program provided them with insights on the roles and objectives within Generative AI, which they found valuable.
Future Prospects
And-Dot is committed to fostering AX (AI Transformation) across various organizations. The successful implementation of this training reflects the growing importance of AI literacy in large corporate settings and connecting theoretical knowledge with practical applications. As Tokyu Fudosan Holdings aims to enhance digital talent, And-Dot plans to continue providing tailored educational programs that facilitate effective AI utilization within their operations.
