EZVIZ Aligns with UN Global Compact for a Greener Future

In a significant step toward sustainable development, EZVIZ, a leader in smart home technology, has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). This announcement, made on Earth Day, highlights the company's commitment to aligning its practices with global standards for human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. By participating in the UNGC, EZVIZ aims to elevate its existing initiatives and make a transformative impact on environmental issues.

The UNGC is a collective venture that encourages companies worldwide to adopt ten principles that promote sustainability and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With more than 25,000 participants from 167 countries, the initiative fosters a collective effort to keep our planet green and clean. EZVIZ, although new to this initiative, has been at the forefront of integrating sustainable practices into its operations. In recent years, it has launched the award-winning EZVIZ Green initiative, which embodies its evolving vision for eco-friendly technology.

Since its inception, EZVIZ has dedicated itself to integrating sustainability into various aspects of its operations. The company recently established an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) committee, providing oversight and direction for its sustainability initiatives. On April 10, EZVIZ published its 2025 ESG report under the theme "Our Planet. Our Actions," showcasing its transparency and commitment to environmentally responsible practices. This is underscored by the recognition EZVIZ has garnered, including awards such as the European Green Awards and the SEAL Sustainability Business Awards.

EZVIZ has taken concrete steps to confront critical environmental challenges, including land degradation, global warming, and plastic pollution. Notably, in partnership with Treedom, the company has successfully planted over 4,190 trees, contributing to a reduction of approximately 738.2 tons of CO2 emissions. Additionally, through collaboration with Plastic Bank, they have successfully prevented over 1 million plastic bottles from entering vulnerable ecosystems. These initiatives are complemented by EZVIZ's own practices of recycling plastics and minimizing waste production.

In a compelling testament to its commitment, EZVIZ has implemented over 30 tons of recycled materials into the design of its RE7 Edge robot vacuum. This strategic move, along with greening its packaging processes, has led to a reduction in CO2 emissions by approximately 73.1 tons.

Jingwen Cao, the Secretary of the Board and Director of the ESG Committee at EZVIZ, expressed enthusiasm about joining the UNGC, citing it as a pivotal moment for the company. "The recognition of our efforts toward fostering a sustainable planet is a tremendous honor. This collaboration empowers us to enhance our environmental initiatives further, ensuring that we do not compromise the environment for commercial success," she stated.

Demonstrating its technological innovation, EZVIZ also focuses on developing products with a low carbon footprint, such as its AOV low-energy consumption technology, which significantly reduces energy usage. Furthermore, the ColorFULL low-light night vision mode minimizes light pollution associated with continuous home security monitoring. By improving outdoor camera technology, EZVIZ has embedded proprietary wild animal detection features, thereby promoting responsible AI usage to ensure safety for both humans and wildlife.

Sophie Zhang, Global Brand Director at EZVIZ, highlighted the importance of technology in fostering a more harmonious existence between humans and the environment. "Our mission is not only to benefit our users but also to contribute positively to every life. We are inspired to work with industry leaders within the UNGC as we strive for a better planet for future generations," she emphasized.
