Introduction
On June 17, 2026, Yoshimori Ito, the CEO of Toggle Holdings, will release his debut book titled
Capital of Conversation: How AI Turns Words into Our Assets. The publication coincides with the company's sixth anniversary and will be available at select bookstores starting June 15, 2026. This insightful business book focuses on how AI is reshaping work and knowledge in practical, implementable ways.
About the Book
The core theme of
Capital of Conversation is encapsulated in the phrase, "That conversation is capital." Every day, in meetings, negotiations, and team discussions, there is a wealth of insights and judgments that are often lost in the flow of communication. Traditionally, much of this information has gone unrecorded, making it inaccessible for future use. However, with the integration of large language models (LLMs) into our cognitive processes, we are entering an era where previously ephemeral conversations can be preserved as capital, maintaining their meaning and context. Ito coins this transformation as “capitalism of conversation” and examines how the redesign of work and knowledge through AI will reshape organizational structures.
The Three Core Perspectives of the Book
1.
Conversations as Capital: Ito argues that conversations are not fleeting bits of information; rather, they should be documented, analyzed, and reused as valuable assets in business.
2.
The True Value of AI: The essence of AI lies not in summarization but in its ability to retain the context of meetings, negotiations, and practical discussions, allowing managers to refer back to them for informed decision-making.
3.
Real-World Applications: The book brings to light case studies from the construction and real estate sectors, demonstrating practical applications of AI rather than remaining within abstract futurism.
Message from the Author
Ito expresses his vision by questioning what might materialize when workplace conversations, judgments, and feedback—which often get lost—are recorded and shared with AI. Each remark made in a meeting, an idea expressed in a Slack message, or an implicit understanding recognized by an experienced employee contributes to a moving train of productivity. By logging everything and collaborating with AI, the previously invisible web of work nuances begins to come into focus. In
Capital of Conversation, he articulates this hypothesis in detail.
