Honoring the Past: A Special Event on August 12, 2025

On August 12, 2025, Akatsuka Kogakuin will host a formal visit and special lecture series at the revered Yasukuni Shrine. This event is especially significant as it commemorates the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War II, providing an opportunity for reflection on the sacrifices made by those who defended the nation.

Yasukuni Shrine stands as a sacred place dedicated to honoring the spirits of the fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Japan. Throughout the years, it has attracted individuals who wish to pay their respects and deepen their understanding of the country's history. This year's event serves as a platform to express gratitude to our predecessors and convey wishes for peace to future generations.

The event will feature distinguished speakers such as Takahito Akatsuka, an expert in Japanese mythology and history, and Soichiro Toki, a producer with over 100,000 followers on social media. Their insights will guide attendees in reconnecting with their roots as Japanese individuals through a formal worship ceremony, a tour of the Yushukan museum, and a thought-provoking lecture.
