AIChE Foundation's 2025 Gala: A Celebration of Impact
On December 3, 2025, the AIChE Foundation hosted the 2025 Gala at The Pierre Hotel in New York City, proudly celebrating ten years of its Doing a World of Good campaign. Nearly 200 attendees, including donors, industry partners, students, and emerging leaders, gathered to celebrate the profound influence of chemical engineering on society.
A Decade of Commitment
The evening's program highlighted how the AIChE Foundation has transformed perceptions of the chemical engineering community while fostering a more inclusive environment. Attendees included approximately 10% students, with leaders from the Stevens Institute of Technology and New Jersey Institute of Technology present, as well as members from the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI).
Natalie R. Krauser, CFRE, the Executive Director of the AIChE Foundation, expressed her pride in the sense of community felt during the event. She emphasized the Foundation's mission to amplify talent and broaden opportunities, ensuring that chemical engineering emerges as an accessible and rewarding field for all interested individuals.
Shifting Perspectives
A prominent theme of the gala was altering the narrative around chemical engineering and fostering an inclusive environment. By utilizing contributions from corporate partners and generous donors, attendance was subsidized to welcome first-time attendees and future leaders. This initiative aimed to create an atmosphere conducive to networking, participation, and philanthropy. One attendee, Samantha Winterburn, 2024 Delaware Valley Engineer of the Year, shared her emotional response to the stories told that evening, reinforcing her commitment to the engineering field.
