In an impressive development within the global investment landscape, Uzbekistan has reported a staggering 60% rise in foreign direct investment (FDI) throughout 2024. This notable increase brings the total foreign investment inflow to $34.9 billion, as indicated in a recent report by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan. As Uzbekistan continues on its path towards being recognized as a key investment hub, projections suggest that this trend will only intensify, with foreign investments expected to reach a remarkable $42 billion by 2025.

The unveiling of the report titled 'New Uzbekistan: The Big Country with Big Opportunities - Reform In Action' coincided with the Tashkent International Investment Forum, an event that attracts global investors in an exploration of Uzbekistan's evolving economic landscape. During this forum, which began on June 9, 2025, over 3,000 participants from 95 countries are engaging in discussions about the numerous prospects Uzbekistan provides for international investors.
