E.J. Ward Inc. Welcomes New CTO and CFO

E.J. Ward, Inc., a leader in the field of automated fuel management and fleet telematics, has recently made significant strides aimed at boosting its growth trajectory and technological prowess. The company has appointed Adam Shaible as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chase McLaughlin as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). These strategic appointments are part of the company's commitment to modernizing fleet operations through cutting-edge solutions driven by insights from artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable management practices.

In 2025, E.J. Ward secured a major investment from TPA Investment Partners, paving the way for rapid expansion and technological advancement. With the new leadership team in place, the company is poised to reinforce its commitment to be at the forefront of energy transition strategies for both government and commercial fleets.

Visionary Leaders at the Helm

Adam Shaible steps into the role of CTO with a wealth of high-tech industry experience. He will be responsible for guiding both the Engineering and Product Development teams at Ward. Shaible's immediate focus will be on advancing Ward's innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, "SimplyFuel." Additionally, he will oversee the integration of next-generation hardware solutions, including the Internet of Things (IoT) Fuel Control Terminals and various fleet management tools from top-tier partners.

In his own words, Shaible expressed enthusiasm for the role, stating, "Joining Ward at this pivotal moment is an incredible opportunity. Our goal is to transform fuel management from a cost-center into a strategic data asset, enabling our customers to optimize every drop of energy—whether it's petroleum or kilowatt-hours."

Chase McLaughlin, taking on the role of CFO, brings with him extensive expertise from various leadership roles in private equity-backed energy companies. McLaughlin's primary responsibility will be developing and implementing the financial strategies necessary to support Ward's ambitious market expansion and future acquisitions. His proven track record in ensuring operational efficiency aligns perfectly with the organization's growth objectives.

E.J. Ward has a rich legacy that spans over 50 years, founded by Eddie J. Ward. With the current leadership under President and CEO Markay Ward and COO Robert Kettyle, the company is evolving beyond being a mere fuel-tracking specialist. The goal is to become a comprehensive sustainability partner for fleets.

Markay Ward welcomed the new executives, saying, "We're thrilled to welcome Adam and Chase to the Ward family. Their combined expertise is instrumental as we scale operations and provide our clients with the technology-driven leadership they need to navigate the complexities of modern fleet management and the transition to electric vehicles."
