SE College's New AI Training: A Response to Increasing Demand
In light of the surging demand for generative AI, SE Plus Co., Ltd., an IT human resource education company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the launch of new AI training courses starting in June 2025. This initiative is part of their mission to provide fundamental IT education to all businesses and cultivate talent capable of adapting to change. By offering a subscription-based training service, SE College aims to reach an even broader audience.
Background of the New Training Initiative
The need for AI-related training courses has been rising steadily at SE College. According to a ranking of popular courses based on video viewership from the 2025 fiscal year, nine out of the top ten courses were AI-focused. Particularly notable was the success of three courses launched in the latter half of fiscal 2025, which revolved around leveraging AI for operational efficiency. The courses, titled "Copilot at the Forefront," "AI Introductory Course," and "Integrating Generative AI for Enhanced Productivity in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint," collectively dominated the top three positions in viewership.
In comparison with the preceding fiscal year, the proportion of AI-related courses among the top rankings showed a significant increase, indicating a growing awareness among business professionals about how to effectively utilize AI in their work.
The Current Landscape of AI Adoption in Businesses
A survey conducted by Teikoku Databank in March 2026 revealed that 34.5% of companies have reportedly adopted generative AI, demonstrating a progressive trend in its incorporation into corporate practices. The primary applications for generative AI included writing, summarizing, and proofreading documents (45.1%), followed by information gathering (21.8%) and brainstorming during project planning (11.0%). This clearly illustrates that many companies are recognizing generative AI as a powerful tool for improving operational efficiency.
However, as more organizations embrace these technologies, a new challenge has emerged: the disparity in AI proficiency among employees. The gap between those who can effectively use AI tools and those who cannot is becoming increasingly pronounced.
Responding to these insights, SE College plans to reprise the highly acclaimed "Using AI for Operational Efficiency" series as a special course offering in the first half of fiscal 2026. In addition to building upon the existing Microsoft Copilot training, the curriculum will now also emphasize practical applications of Google's latest AI advancements through a series of five sessions.
