ITOKI Continues to Showcase Commitment to Global Talent Acquisition at SEKISHO JOB FAIR 2025

ITOKI's Global Talent Acquisition Efforts Continue at SEKISHO JOB FAIR 2025

ITOKI, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo with President Koji Minato, showcased its ongoing commitment to global talent acquisition by participating in the SEKISHO JOB FAIR 2025, which took place in November 2025 at the Hanoi University of Technology. This marked the fourth consecutive year that ITOKI has been present at this fair since 2022, reinforcing its strategy to recruit advanced scientific technology professionals globally.

During this year’s event, ITOKI engaged with numerous students, particularly those majoring in engineering and science, offering meaningful networking opportunities and interviews aimed at recruiting talent expected to join in 2026 and 2027.

Purpose of Participation

ITOKI recognizes that adapting to rapidly diversifying work styles and digital transformations is essential. As part of its human resource strategy, the company prioritizes the recruitment and development of highly specialized personnel who can excel in cutting-edge fields such as AI and mechanical engineering.

Since 2023, ITOKI has intensified its hiring of foreign candidates, formalizing a partnership agreement with Hanoi University of Technology, which promotes continuous talent exchange through job fairs and joint internships. Additionally, starting in 2024, ITOKI has established a collaboration agreement with Shiga Prefecture to enhance its support system for international hires, including assistance with working and living environments.

As a result of these initiatives, ITOKI has successfully employed 24 graduates from Hanoi University of Technology (2 in 2023, 4 in 2024, and 18 in 2025), all actively contributing their expertise in various sectors within the company. Through its mid-term management plan (2024-2026), ITOKI aims to accelerate the acquisition and support of specialized talent with a focus on three pillars: Professional, Retention, and Pay for Performance.

Joining the SEKISHO JOB FAIR is part of this broader strategy, where ITOKI aims to strengthen its technological foundation in product development and manufacturing by connecting with highly skilled STEM graduates. The event provided a significant opportunity to foster real dialogues with students and facilitate individual interviews, deepening their understanding of the company's sectors and functions, potentially leading to future employment opportunities.

Event Highlights

The job fair at the Hanoi University of Technology attracted a vast number of students. ITOKI's booth welcomed many attendees majoring in science and engineering, including those studying advanced fields like AI. ITOKI conducted individual interviews with 53 students, exploring job roles, career paths, and contemporary work styles.

The recruitment process emphasized positions like software design and development for equipment, engineering roles, and lead ensuring functions within the engineering department. The booth buzzed with lively conversations as students expressed keen interest in learning about the professional duties associated with various positions and career progression options.

Some students actively inquired about how their specific expertise could be integrated into ITOKI’s operations, turning these discussions into valuable exchanges that offered insights into potential career trajectories.

ITOKI also featured graduates from Hanoi University of Technology in its booth, who provided translation support and shared personal career experiences and stories about living in Japan, effectively bridging the gap and creating a relatable career image for prospective candidates.

Through three years of consistent presence and recruitment successes at previous fairs, ITOKI has steadily enhanced its reputation among local students, who expressed hopeful aspirations such as a desire to work in Japan or to contribute to manufacturing advancements, including a strong interest in using AI technologies to address societal challenges.

Future Recruitment Plans

Looking ahead, ITOKI is set to continue its global recruitment strategy targeting technical roles for 2026 and 2027, including opportunities for foreign students and local hires. Interest in participating in Japan’s internship program was strong, with numerous students hoping to engage in this hands-on experience.

The internship program allows for a one-month stay in Japan, offering insights at ITOKI's head office, ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO, located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, as well as at the Shiga Factory, which is a central manufacturing site and potential future workspace in Omi-Hachiman, Shiga Prefecture. This program is designed allowing interns to gain practical experiences in product development and manufacturing, alongside cultural integration support provided jointly with Shiga Prefecture to acclimate them to Japanese society prior to employment.

ITOKI is committed to highlighting the success stories of its employees from Hanoi University of Technology via its owned media, ITOKI STORY, where it showcases their contributions in various fields. An example includes a graduate involved in electrical control circuit design for the SAS-R automated storage and retrieval system at the Shiga factory, illustrating how they are advancing their careers post-arrival in Japan.

ITOKI remains dedicated to strengthening its technical foundation through a comprehensive approach to recruiting, training, and retaining foreign talent, continuously evolving its manufacturing prowess.
