Unforgettable Reunion: Yoshida Takuro and Sakazaki Kosuke on Fuji TV
After a three-year break from television, Yoshida Takuro is back, gracing our screens again alongside Sakazaki Kosuke in a special edition of "Sakazaki Kosuke's Odaiba Folk Village" titled "Takuro Aishiteru." This nostalgic reunion comes more than two decades after their last appearance together on the show, which originally aired on August 25, 2003.
The show, now hosted by Shiori Tamai from Momoiro Clover Z and Sakazaki Kosuke himself, has evolved over the years, featuring an array of renowned guests and live music performances. Every month, they bring a selection of folk songs and viewer-requested tracks, creating a vibrant musical experience for the audience.
This time, the guest list includes not just Takuro but also Tomoe Shinohara, making this a truly special broadcast. It promises to revive those cherished moments fondly remembered from "LOVE LOVE Aishiteru," which welcomed Takuro back to the public eye after years away from various media outlets.
The show will feature a selection of songs hand-picked by Yoshida Takuro himself. Among the hits are "Ganbaranai kedo ii desho," which has also been a popular CM song, and the theme song from "LOVE LOVE Aishiteru," "Zenbu Dakishimete." Additionally, viewers can look forward to hearing "Kon’ya wa Hoshizora," a memorable piece originally performed by Ayumi Ishida in 1978. This special production will also revisit Takuro’s early days as an R&B musician in Hiroshima with affectionately performed tracks like "Namida ga Hoho wo Nurasu Toki."
The song "Kon’ya wa Hoshizora" has particular significance, as Takuro believes it showcases a different side of Shinohara, who is often known for her low, husky tones. Inspired by her vocal potential, Takuro invited her to perform this piece, and it has now come to fruition in this memorable segment.
In addition to the performances, the show will feature engaging conversations where Takuro reflects on his journey from Hiroshima to Tokyo. He shares poignant memories of how participating in "LOVE LOVE Aishiteru" changed his life and expresses his feelings for his fellow artists.
