Exciting Launch of the Delivery Ramen Project
In a groundbreaking collaboration, the food delivery app Menu has partnered with Japan's renowned ramen media Ramen Walker to introduce the
Delivery Ramen Project. This exciting initiative aims to revolutionize the way ramen is enjoyed at home, offering exclusive dishes from highly-rated ramen shops across Tokyo. The project will kick off on
April 25, 2025 and will showcase some of the finest ramen restaurants that have earned a rating of over
3.5 on Tabelog, including
Izo Hachimitsu Ramen,
Shina Soba Tanaka,
Hakata Ramen Debuchan,
Miso Noodle Phuumeido, and
MEN Kurai.
This new venture seeks to establish delivery ramen, or
Delimen, as a staple in everyday dining, bringing the flavor and experience of these top restaurants straight to your doorstep. One of the most compelling aspects of the Delivery Ramen Project is the promise of ramen that you can enjoy just
30 minutes after ordering; Menu has dedicated itself to developing unique ramen dishes that are specially tailored for delivery, ensuring you enjoy them at their best.
Ramen’s Growing Popularity
The ramen market has seen a significant increase in demand, projected to grow from
¥460 billion in 2023 to
¥523 billion by 2030. Research indicates that nearly half of the population consumes ramen at least once a week, emphasizing its status as a beloved national dish. Yet, there’s room for growth in the delivery sector, as
43% of consumers have never ordered ramen online, and
21% express dissatisfaction with the quality of delivered ramen. Recognizing this gap, Menu aims to broaden the potential of delivery ramen and establish it as a new cultural phenomenon.
The Delivery Ramen Project will gradually introduce ramen from
25 popular shops in Tokyo over six months, reinforcing Menu's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Alongside this initiative, Menu will roll out a
unique ramen experience, ensuring that the bowls delivered are just as good as what you'd enjoy dining in the restaurant.
What to Expect from the Project
1.
Featured Restaurants: Starting in April, 25 top ramen shops—each boasting a rating of
3.5 or higher on Tabelog—will be available for order via Menu.
2.
Exclusive Ramen Creations: These restaurants will craft exclusive ramen dishes that promise to be
ready for you to enjoy 30 minutes post-order. This means enhanced flavors and textures specifically designed for delivery.
3.
Delivery Time Guarantee Campaign: To ensure customers receive their ramen in optimal condition, Menu will implement a campaign guaranteeing a full refund if delivery times exceed expectations. This limitation demonstrates Menu's commitment to delivering high-quality ramen right to your door.
