Chiyoda Ward's First Disaster Preparedness Festival Featuring PAW Patrol

Chiyoda Ward's First Disaster Preparedness Festival

On September 28, Chiyoda Ward will host its inaugural "Chiyoda Disaster Preparedness Festival" at Hibiya Park, an event aimed at fostering a community-oriented approach to disaster preparedness among families and individuals of all ages. This participatory event emphasizes the importance of mutual support and interaction in the face of potential disasters.

Event Overview

The festival will encompass four main areas: the "Disaster Preparedness Stage," "Disaster Food Zone," "Disaster Street," and "Disaster Park." Local fire departments, disaster response organizations, and businesses that have signed disaster agreements with the ward will set up booths and interactive content throughout the venue.

Among the offerings, there will be tailored programs for families, such as a "Baby and Kids Disaster Preparedness Course" for parents with children under three, and a "Future Disaster Leaders Training Course" aimed at lower elementary school students. Some of these sessions will require a pre-registration lottery or distribution of tickets on the event day.

Celebrity Guests

One of the highlights of the festival is the appearance of popular characters from the internationally beloved animated series, "PAW Patrol." Marshall, Chase, Sky, and Rubble will take on the role of "Disaster Patrol Leaders," engaging with participants in fun disaster quizzes and other educational activities on the main stage. These sessions aim to teach children important safety tips in an entertaining way through dance and interaction.

To manage crowd control, a designated "seating area" for viewing will also be available, and registration for this area opened on August 29, closing on September 15.
