SEKIRARA CARD Launches Breakup Museum and Special Movie
SEKIRARA CARD, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has announced an innovative event titled the "Breakup Museum," scheduled from April 17 to April 20, coinciding with the observance of "Breakup Day" on April 20. This event is centered around the theme of heartbreak and seeks to provide a unique, immersive experience for attendees. Reservations for this groundbreaking exhibition began on April 2, allowing visitors to engage with various content and interactive displays related to love and loss.
To kick off the event, SEKIRARA CARD has released a special movie called “SEKIRARA TALK,” featuring candid conversations among participants from popular dating reality shows. They share their personal stories of heartbreak and reflection on relationships. Viewers can access the movie through

The Breakup Museum is the first of its kind, designed to reinterpret heartbreak from multiple perspectives. SEKIRARA CARD aims to deepen connections among lovers, families, and individuals through their communication cards. With questions printed on each card, they encourage sincere conversations that most individuals often hesitate to initiate. The brand's collection includes eight diverse card types, catering to different relational dynamics and emotional states.
In just over two years since its establishment in November 2023, SEKIRARA CARD has gained immense popularity, with over 60 million views across social media platforms like Instagram. The brand now boasts approximately 50,000 followers, demonstrating its significant impact on the community of over 100,000 users worldwide who appreciate the concept of enhancing dialogue around relationships. The forthcoming Breakup Museum aims to address the lack of support for those experiencing heartbreak, transforming what is often seen as a negative experience into a more positive and introspective opportunity.
Event attendees will engage with a variety of contents, including fresh insights from recent surveys on breakups in Japan, expert discussions on mental care during heartbreak, and personal narratives from reality show participants. Notably, around 200 SEKIRARA CARD users will share letters to their ex-partners, further enriching the exploration of emotional recovery. To conclude the museum experience, participants are encouraged to write their own letters and place them in a designated "Breakup Mailbox" on-site.
Special Movie Featuring Reality Show Participants
Alongside the museum, SEKIRARA CARD released a compelling special film featuring four reality show stars who delve into their experiences with love and heartbreak. This movie captures their authentic reflections as they respond to questions such as, "How many times have you experienced a breakup?" and "Can you remain friends after a breakup?" Their responses resonate deeply with anyone who has navigated the complexities of relationships.
The film provides a unique lens into the lives of those who have participated in dating shows like "THE BOYFRIEND" and "LOVE TRANSIT". Each star’s personal letter, shared in the movie, will also be featured as part of the museum's exhibition.
