Dahua Technology Unveils AI-Powered ITS Solutions at Intertraffic 2026

Dahua Technology, a leading global provider of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) solutions focused on video, recently returned to the Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 exhibition. The company showcased its latest advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) designed to improve road safety, streamline traffic management, and promote sustainable urban mobility.

During the event, Wang Jun, the General Manager of ITS Product R&D at Dahua Technology, delivered a keynote speech titled "AI for Smarter, Safer, and More Sustainable Transportation." He emphasized that artificial intelligence and extensive models can shift traffic management from passive monitoring to proactive operations. This transformation aids cities in optimizing road resources, enhancing traffic safety, and improving the travel experience for citizens. Wang highlighted how Dahua leverages cutting-edge AIoT technologies and extensive AI model frameworks to tackle critical urban transportation challenges, including traffic congestion, accidents, law enforcement, and passenger experiences.

At the core of Dahua's ITS offerings is the High-Capacity AI Model Xinghan 2.0, which integrates several modules aimed at image processing, multimodal fusion, and speech understanding. This powerful AI tool combines real-time video, traffic, and regulatory data into a smart loop of perception, analysis, decision-making, and control. Consequently, it facilitates automatic accident detection, optimized signal control, accurate law enforcement, and reduces false alarms, thus enhancing both efficiency and safety in complex road environments.

Dahua also introduced its enhanced technology for merging radar and video data (VRF2.0), which boosts accuracy and continuity in challenging scenarios by combining radar and visual data. This innovative approach overcomes issues related to overlaps and misidentifications while significantly reducing setup time. Key ITS products displayed at the exhibition included:

  • - Bisight X Series Camera: This camera fuses radar and video records with dual-spectrum capabilities. It monitors driver behavior and road conditions, providing high-quality evidence for law enforcement with modular reliability in all weather conditions.

  • - Spotter Ultra: A detection system capable of monitoring eight lanes for speed limit violations and traffic offenses, providing a complete chain of evidence, making it ideal for complex intersections.

  • - Intelligent Light Bar (iPatrol): This transforms law enforcement vehicles into mobile AI centers, integrating 360-degree monitoring and intelligent detection for dynamic road checks.

In addition to enhancing safety measures, Dahua unveiled solutions aimed at improving transportation efficiency and the travel experience:

  • - Intelligent Traffic Signal Control: Utilizing AI to connect video footage with radar data, dynamically adjusting signals to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce delays.

  • - Intelligent Highway Systems: These incorporate on-the-go weight measurement, virtual message server (VMS) alerts, and accident detection through AI enhancements to improve flow and safety on long trips.

  • - Smart Parking Solutions: Built on Dahua’s ANPR cameras and unified platform, these help streamline parking operations and expand ecosystem service offerings.

Dahua shared insights on the global deployment of ITS systems and sustainable urban development, highlighting successful projects such as the AI traffic management system on the second bridge in Penang, Malaysia, and the first intelligent traffic signal network in San Francisco de Campeche, Mexico. Both projects demonstrated measurable improvements in monitoring, law enforcement, and traffic congestion alleviation.

Moreover, the exhibition showcased Dahua's intelligent solutions for electric vehicle charging, reiterating the company's ongoing commitment to fostering greener and more sustainable transportation ecosystems. With continuous innovations in AIoT technologies and partnerships with global players, Dahua remains dedicated to driving advancements in ITS, helping cities worldwide build safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility systems.
