Huntingdon College Partners with Boldyn Networks for Enhanced Campus Connectivity

Huntingdon College has announced an exciting expansion of its partnership with Boldyn Networks, a recognized leader in shared network infrastructure. This collaboration aims to deliver advanced Managed Network and IT Services across various areas of the campus, significantly boosting connectivity and overall administrative efficiency.

The latest agreement builds upon the successful deployment of Boldyn's residential network services (ResNet) at Huntingdon College’s campus last year. By extending these managed services beyond just the residence halls, the college is taking significant steps to improve the connectivity experience for both students and academic personnel. This initiative not only enhances the user experience but also expands the capacity of the IT team without the need for additional hires.

With Boldyn's Managed Network and IT Services, Huntingdon College can access support for essential infrastructure elements, including network access control, firewalls, VPNs, secure Wi-Fi, network segmentation, and 24/7 monitoring. Furthermore, users can leverage Boldyn's Managed Campus Portal for real-time insights into network performance and support status. This comprehensive approach ensures that students and staff experience uninterrupted service, allowing for a more enriching educational environment.

Matt Loecke, Senior Vice President for Higher Education at Boldyn Networks, highlighted the criticality of reliable technology services within educational institutions. He stated, “Higher education institutions depend on reliable technology services across student accommodations, classrooms, staff offices, and administrative buildings. Huntingdon College's decision to expand its partnership with Boldyn is a testament to the trust built alongside our ResNet deployment and the necessity of a partner that understands the operational realities of campus IT.”

Anneliese Spaeth, the Chief Information Officer at Huntingdon College, added, “Our extended IT partnership with Boldyn Networks is set to enhance current campus operations by creating stability and reliability in network connectivity through advanced technology. This partnership strategically positions Huntingdon College among peers in the higher education landscape, especially concerning connectivity technologies and infrastructure advancement.”

Currently, Boldyn Networks supports over 350 colleges and universities, providing a multifaceted portfolio that includes managed residential and campus networks, cloud computing, IT solutions, and security services. This most recent move reflects a broader trend in higher education, where institutions face the challenge of managing increasingly complex digital environments while their internal IT resources remain limited.

As the college gears up for this expansion, Boldyn Networks is set to attend the NACUBO 2026 Annual Meeting, scheduled from July 18 to July 21. This event will provide an excellent platform to discuss how connectivity enhancement and managed IT service models can lead to improved operational efficiency on campuses.

In conclusion, this expanded collaboration between Huntingdon College and Boldyn Networks underscores the importance of adapting to the technological needs of today’s educational institutions. By leveraging external expertise, Huntingdon College is ensuring they remain competitive while offering a high-quality, connected environment for students and staff alike.
