JMAM Launches New e-Learning Courses for Seniors in 2026

JMAM Introduces New e-Learning Courses for Seniors

In our rapidly evolving workplace landscape, the importance of the senior workforce has become increasingly evident. In response, JMAM (Japan Management Association Management Center) is excited to announce the launch of two new e-learning courses specifically designed to support the senior demographic. Named "Health Management®22 Senior Workforce Support" and "Self-Check 22 Senior Workforce Support," these courses will be available starting August 2026.

Background to Development

Japan is currently facing an acute issue of a declining working-age population, largely due to its aging populace. Statistics from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications reveal that the number of employed individuals aged 65 and above is expected to reach 9.3 million by 2024, marking the highest figure ever recorded, constituting 13.7% of the total workforce. This trend is set to rise as the revised "Employment Stability Law for Older Persons" obligates companies to ensure employment for all who wish to work until the age of 65 starting in April 2025, a move underscored by the pension reforms that facilitate easier retirement benefit access for working seniors.

As organizations are increasingly called upon to integrate senior employees' diverse experiences and wisdom into their corporate fabric, JMAM has designed these courses to offer essential knowledge and advocacy for fostering the senior workforce.
