Tokyo University Advanced Blockchain Education Program
Tokyo University is pioneering the advancement of blockchain education with the introduction of its new program beginning in 2026. This initiative builds upon the successful foundation laid by the university's two-year blockchain public course, aiming to provide comprehensive training suitable for various backgrounds and professional goals.
Public Blockchain Course: A Systematic Foundation
The Public Blockchain Course has been designed for beginners and early learners eager to grasp the fundamentals of blockchain technology. Through a structured curriculum focused on theoretical input, participants will gradually learn about the principles and applications of blockchain. This course has witnessed substantial growth, evolving into a community of over 4,000 participants on Discord, where learners engage in sharing information, resources, and various announcements related to the program.
Advanced Blockchain Application Program: Bridging Disciplines with Active Learning
Complementing the public course is the forthcoming Advanced Blockchain Application Program. This new offering seeks to connect blockchain technology with diversified sectors such as finance, cryptography, contemporary art, and product design. Through specially designed study groups, participants will engage in active learning involving literature reviews, presentations, and discussions.
This approach allows students to understand the intrinsic structures and essence of each field while enhancing their ability to see the multifaceted relationships with blockchain technology. Furthermore, the program's development collaborates with various blockchain platforms to ensure a neutral perspective that is not dependent on specific chains or ecosystems, preparing participants to thrive in a wide range of next-generation digital industries.
Teams will be formed across different study groups to foster collaboration, leading to the creation of inventive projects and initiatives. High-achieving teams will be offered opportunities to join an incubator support program scheduled for September, promoting talent development even for those not necessarily pursuing entrepreneurship. Through this program, the aim is to contribute to sustainable growth in Japan's blockchain-related industries by cultivating skilled professionals equipped to generate value based on blockchain technology.

The Blockchain Innovation Donor Course's third-phase sponsors include notable organizations such as Casley, Deep Innovations, Good Luck Three, Sparkle AI, Toyota, and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group.
