Driving Transformation: CGO.com and Suzuki’s Collaborative Journey



In a groundbreaking initiative, CGO.com, led by President Baburi, has provided six months of support to Suzuki Corporation to enhance its organizational development through the "Galstyle® Communication Facilitation Project". This project harnessed the "Gal Mind"—a concept embracing self-awareness, intuition, and positive thinking—to promote a dialogue culture that transcends generational and hierarchical divides. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with improvements in every measured indicator before and after the program, as participants expressed feelings of breaking free from limitations and being more open in sharing their thoughts.

Background of the Initiative



The project was initiated at Suzuki's New Mobility Services Division, which is currently navigating the transformative era of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, Electric). Under the motto "Mobility for Life - Supporting Lives, Lifelong", Suzuki is expanding its services via connected technologies and sharing options. However, the company recognized challenges regarding the internalization of mission discussions and the promotion of debates that cross generational and positional lines due to rapid expansion and a vast business scope.

To counter these challenges, CGO.com structured a six-month collaborative program aimed at enabling employees to:
1. Actively engage with purpose.
2. Identify personal connections with the company mission.
3. Share opinions regardless of position or age.

Implementing the Program



Throughout the six months, various components of the program were executed. Participants utilized the proprietary “Gal Mind Index” and dedicated engagement metrics developed specifically for this initiative to quantitatively measure its impact.

Step 1: Introduction to the Gal Mind (First Month)


To kick off the project, a comprehensive introduction to various programs and the concept of the Gal Mind was presented. Attendees learned about the definition and evolution of the “Gal” persona and received practical tips on embodying the Gal Mind, which focuses on engaging and positive communication.

Step 2: Galstyle Brainstorming® (Months 2-3)


Building on the initial session, participants engaged in the "Galstyle Brainstorming®" where they explored the future of mobility as a deeply personal reflection. The brainstorming focused on what made the next-generation mobility services unique, sparking ideas that transcended roles and functions. Feedback included insights on the effectiveness of intuition and the clarity of ideas that emerged through free expression.

Step 3: Reflection (Monthly for 3 Months)


In the following months, participants were encouraged to integrate the Gal Mind practices into their everyday communication, with structured reflections aimed at fostering continual growth. Tools such as storyboards, image boards, and action sheets were shared, allowing peer feedback to enhance mutual understanding.

Tangible Outcomes



The Gal Mind Index saw an impressive increase of +8.3 points across the board, while the engagement index, developed based on participant feedback, also showed improvement in all areas of focus defined for the program: proactive behavior, mission internalization, and cross-generational communication.

Participants shared transformative insights:

  • - "I have learned to manage my reactions better when facing criticism and focus on being more positive."
  • - "I can now openly share my ideas within my team."

Further reports from supervisors and team members noted observable changes in consciousness and communication behaviors, highlighting the project's effectiveness in establishing a culture of dialogue that transcends generational and positional barriers.
