ChangAn Automobile's Vision for the Future at Auto Shanghai 2025

ChangAn Automobile has taken significant strides to redefine its role in the global automotive industry during the Auto Shanghai 2025, showcasing a forward-thinking strategy anchored in innovation and sustainability. Under the theme "Together for a Smarter World," the company introduced three pivotal plans that aim to transform its operational landscape over the next decade. These plans—the Shangri-La Mission, Dubhe Plan, and Vast Ocean Plan—collectively symbolize ChangAn's commitment to embracing low-carbon technologies and enhancing its market presence globally.

Shangri-La Mission: A Commitment to Renewable Energy

The Shangri-La Mission is designed to diversify ChangAn's product lineup significantly over the next five years, targeting the launch of 45 new models. This includes an impressive 37 new energy vehicles by 2025 alone. Among the anticipated cars in 2025 are models like the AVATR 06, DEEPAL S09, and CHANG-AN Q07. Additionally, ChangAn is collaborating with CATL to advance battery technology, setting sights on solid-state batteries with prototypes expected by the end of 2025 and planned mass production by 2027. Alongside, the introduction of a smart collision battery management system and rapid-charging Kirin batteries positions ChangAn at the forefront of automotive innovation.

Dubhe Plan 2.0: Groundbreaking Advances in AI and Automated Driving

The Dubhe Plan 2.0 exemplifies ChangAn’s ambitions in artificial intelligence and automation. Over the next five years, an investment of 20 billion yuan will enhance their AI model aimed at creating comprehensive driver assistance systems. Another 20 billion yuan will support the growth of innovative sectors like flying cars. The upgrades will include substantial advancements in the Intelligent TS Drive, which will have five versions tailored to user needs, rolling out the LiDAR PRO version by the end of 2025. Furthermore, the company plans extensive investments exceeding 200 billion yuan in automotive technology over the next decade, poised to elevate industries such as humanoid robots, targeted for production by 2028.

Vast Ocean Plan: Global Market Expansion Strategy

With a clear target for global outreach, the Vast Ocean Plan outlines ChangAn’s intentions to invest over $15 billion globally by 2030. The goal is to achieve annual overseas sales of 1.5 million vehicles and expand their international workforce to 10,000 employees. A strategic approach dubbed "6+2" will align key regions with China’s strategic-level markets, aiming to scale the international market from 30 million to 50 million units. Projects to establish assembly plants in countries such as Kazakhstan and Egypt could enhance production capacity by 500,000 units. By targeting markets in Brazil, Algeria, Indonesia, Germany, and Australia, ChangAn aspires to solidify its global presence by 2026.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

Zhu Huarong, Chairman of ChangAn Automobile, expressed that despite the inherent challenges, the company is unwavering in its commitment to growth and sustainability. He emphasized the necessity of innovation through change and overcoming adversity, asserting that ChangAn aims to lead the way in eco-friendly transportation while significantly improving people's lives.

As ChangAn adds these ambitious strategies to its roadmap, it stands firmly positioned to not only adapt but thrive in the rapidly evolving global automotive market, aspiring to establish itself as a world-class automotive brand.
