Kanachu Taxi Adopts Uber App via Denno Connect System
In a bold move to streamline operations and improve customer service, Kanachu Taxi, one of the largest taxi operators in Kanagawa Prefecture, has announced the integration of the Uber app through the Denno Connect system offered by Denno Transportation. This collaboration is set to revolutionize the way taxi services operate in the region.
What is Denno Connect?
Denno Connect is a sophisticated platform designed to connect Denno Transportation's cloud-based dispatch system, known as DS, with various ride-hailing apps and transportation services. The system aims to enhance operational efficiency for taxi businesses while maximizing revenue opportunities by allowing seamless interaction between different dispatch channels.
Starting February 2025, Uber will join the Denno Connect alliance, enabling integration not just in Kanagawa but across all 47 prefectures in Japan, with around 600 companies and approximately 21,000 taxi vehicles already utilizing the DS system. This anticipated collaboration means that Japanese taxi services can now connect with the globally recognized Uber app, enhancing customer experience significantly.
How Does It Work for Kanachu Taxi?
Kanachu Taxi, which has been employing the DS platform since February 2024, is excited to leverage Denno Connect for a more integrated service delivery. By connecting the Uber app directly, the company can now manage ride requests from both traditional phone calls and the Uber app through a single tablet interface within their vehicles. This one-screen solution simplifies operations, allowing drivers to accept rides without the need for additional equipment or increased complexity in service management.
Denno Transportation is committed to easing the onboarding process and minimizing administrative workload related to contract management, invoicing, and payment processes. This will not only free up time and resources for Kanachu Taxi but also supports a smooth and efficient integration.
Why Kanachu Taxi Chose Denno Connect
Situated primarily within the central Kanagawa and Shonan areas, Kanachu Taxi serves a diverse customer base that includes both local residents and tourists—particularly international visitors. The need for improved service was pressing. Previously, they relied mainly on one dispatch app but recognized the necessity to capture new customer segments, especially amidst the growing demand for services tailored to inbound tourists.
Amid these challenges, the introduction of new dispatch apps often led to increased burdens on drivers, primarily due to additional tablets and multiple contract management requirements. The Denno Connect system emerged as the ideal solution for Kanachu Taxi, allowing them to streamline the process and alleviate the administrative demands placed on their drivers. By adopting this system, Kanachu Taxi aims to enhance not only productivity but also the quality and safety of their services.
