ChangAn Showcases Innovative Automotive Technologies at Auto Shanghai 2025

At the recent Auto Shanghai 2025, ChangAn Automobile unveiled its strategic advancements in low-emission and intelligent mobility solutions, setting a stage for collaboration to foster a sustainable automotive future. The event, themed "Together for a Smarter World", welcomed over 600 media representatives and 500 global partners to engage in a shared vision for the future of transportation.

On the first day of the event, ChangAn held several key press conferences where it showcased its flagship brands—CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR 06—highlighting the unique strengths of each. Among the exciting announcements was the introduction of the Q07 model's pricing and specifications, which promises exceptional comfort and an unparalleled driving experience. Additionally, attendees were thrilled by the debut of the full-sized SUV, S09, targeting younger consumers under the DEEPAL brand. However, it was the AVATR 06 that stole the spotlight, setting a benchmark for luxury electric vehicles through its cutting-edge design and driver-centered technology.

Media attendees were also invited to participate in interactive demonstrations, such as experiencing the unique features of the CHANG-AN E07 equipped with the Intelligent TH Chassis. One memorable highlight was witnessing how the vehicle could shake off leaves and snow to music, a fun representation of ChangAn's digital perception platform, SDA. Guests interacted with innovative solutions, including robotic canines and humanoid robots, showcasing ChangAn's commitment to intelligent technology.

During his address, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of ChangAn Automobile, reported a remarkable 34.2% growth in global sales in 2024, totaling 2.684 million vehicles, including 735,000 new energy vehicles and 536,000 sold abroad. Li Mingcai, the Executive Vice President, shed light on significant milestones such as the establishment of the first international base for new energy vehicle production in Thailand, capable of producing 580,000 vehicles annually. ChangAn emerged as one of China's top three automotive exporters, achieving sales of 500,000 vehicles in international markets and generating over $11 billion in revenue.

Looking ahead, ChangAn plans to finalize the establishment of subsidiaries in the Middle East, Australia, and the UK, while intensifying its operations in high-potential markets like Europe, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia. Li emphasized a vision encompassing ten new regional entities by 2025, reinforcing the commitment to becoming a world-class brand driven by technological innovation.

Over the past decade, ChangAn has invested more than 40 billion yuan in new energy solutions and aims to allocate an additional 200 billion yuan in the coming decade towards automotive technology advancements, including expanding its R&D workforce by 10,000 specialists and exploring the development of intelligent cars and flying vehicles, with test flights planned for this year.

Notably, ChangAn emphasizes sustainability in its operations. The company recently released its 2024 ESG report, highlighting eco-friendly initiatives aligned with community partnerships. Notably, in 2024, ChangAn sold 735,000 new energy vehicles, contributing to reducing CO2 emissions by 5.5 million tons throughout the product lifecycle, comparable to planting 10,000 hectares of forest.

As ChangAn continues to implement its Vast Ocean Plan, the company aspires to provide high-quality, efficient, intelligent, and eco-friendly products to a broader user base globally. Li concluded by stating, "We will consistently pursue strategies that allow more users worldwide to enjoy intelligent and green products of exceptional quality and performance."
