Kiddie Academy Welcomes Casey Miller as New CEO
In an exciting development for the educational child care sector, Kiddie Academy® has appointed Casey Miller as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1. Having served as executive vice president prior to this promotion, Miller is uniquely positioned to lead the family-owned business, continuing the legacy started by his grandparents in 1981.
Kiddie Academy has established itself as a trusted name in child care, with nearly 40,000 children attending its programs across 343 locations in 40 states and Washington, D.C. This expansion is expected to continue in 2025, with plans to open 30 new Academies as part of the company's growth strategy.
Miller expressed his vision for the organization, stating, "As CEO, I hope to take Kiddie Academy's educational child care offerings to the next level while honoring the focus on high-quality care that has been our priority for the past 44 years." His personal connection to Kiddie Academy is evident, as he himself is a graduate of the academy.
With a deep understanding of the business due to his family ties, Miller is the grandson of founders George and Pauline Miller and the son of Executive Chairman Michael J. Miller. He joined the company in 2013, accumulating experience across various roles in operations, construction, and franchise development. This breadth of experience equips him to make crucial decisions regarding the company’s future, ensuring that the values of quality education and care continue to thrive.
Kiddie Academy prioritizes instilling a love for learning in its students, encouraging curiosity and providing the skills necessary for success in life. Miller highlights the importance of parental feedback on children’s achievements both inside and outside the classroom, reinforcing the Academy's commitment to a collaborative approach with families.
In recognition of its commitment to excellence, Kiddie Academy received accolades in 2024, including a spot on Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 and recognition as a top franchise for veterans. Additionally, it was honored as one of the Fast 50 by the Baltimore Business Journal and was named a Best Place to Work.
The company’s unique Life Essentials® Curriculum plays a central role in its educational approach, equipping children ages six weeks to twelve years with essential skills for lifelong learning. The curriculum, supplemented by various methods and activities, ensures that learning remains engaging and effective for all students.
Furthermore, corporate social responsibility is paramount at Kiddie Academy. The company supports national nonprofit Family Promise, imparting character education lessons learned in the classroom to make a positive impact beyond Academy walls. The company's dedication to quality education has also earned it accreditation from Cognia, the globally recognized accreditation system.
Looking ahead, Casey Miller's leadership is anticipated to take Kiddie Academy to new heights as it continues to expand and refine its educational offerings, drawing on over four decades of experience and a solid foundation in quality care.
