Unleash Your Child's Creativity at GLI's Online Event
On August 24, 2025, Global Learner's Institute (GLI), based in Minato City, Tokyo, will host an exciting online event titled
Tech Tales: Shape Shifters – Where Shapes Spark Creativity. This program is designed to ignite children's imagination by allowing them to create and express their thoughts based on randomly provided shapes using the digital tool Canva.
Event Highlights
The event is centered around enhancing creativity and English expression, providing children with a unique opportunity to think outside the box. Participants will explore how a simple shape, such as an egg, can be transformed into various representations like humans or animals, encouraging innovative thinking.
Encouraging Creative Thinking
Participants will be confronted with intriguing challenges that stimulate their creative juices. By examining how different perspectives can alter their interpretation of shapes, children will learn to push their creative boundaries. This method not only promotes creative thinking but also helps in breaking established cognitive patterns.
Engaging in English Presentation
Each child will explain their artwork and its story in English, which will foster their communication skills and boost their confidence in public speaking. This is a crucial opportunity for children to learn how to articulate their ideas clearly and effectively in a second language.
Tailored Group Activities
For a personalized experience, participants will be divided into groups based on age and proficiency in English. This thoughtful arrangement ensures that each child can engage comfortably and receive support from peers, creating an encouraging environment for creativity.
Event Schedule
The event will feature several engaging sections to keep children motivated:
1.
Introduction & Icebreaker: The session will start with a friendly welcome and introductions from the instructor, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
2.
Event Objectives: Participants will learn about the goals and flow of the event.
3.
Drawing Session: Children will be divided into breakout rooms to unleash their creativity and design their projects.
4.
Sharing & Show-and-Tell: A platform for participants to present their creations and share their stories in English.
