AerCap and Boeing Celebrate Significant Dreamliner Deliveries to Aeroméxico

AerCap and Boeing Celebrate Significant Milestones in Aviation

On August 14, 2026, AerCap Holdings N.V., a global leader in aviation leasing, proudly announced an important achievement in its partnership with Boeing and Aeroméxico. The company delivered its tenth Boeing 787 Dreamliner on lease to Grupo Aeroméxico, marking both AerCap’s 100th delivery of the aircraft type from its direct order book with Boeing and Aeroméxico’s milestone of receiving its 25th Dreamliner.

AerCap has been at the forefront of the aviation industry, being the largest owner of Boeing 787 aircraft and maintaining a significant order book of approximately 140 of these aircraft. This latest delivery underlines AerCap's commitment to providing cutting-edge aviation solutions to its partners.

Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap, expressed delight at reaching these milestones, emphasizing the significance of the Boeing 787 in the current aviation landscape. He stated, “The 787 remains one of the most attractive wide-body aircraft in operation today, combining efficient performance with passenger comfort.” This particular delivery is more than just a transaction; it represents a collaborative effort that facilitates Aeroméxico’s growth and enhances the fleet's efficiency and sustainability.

Max Alvarez, Senior Vice President of Fleet and Business Development at Aeroméxico, also highlighted the impact of the Dreamliner on their fleet strategy. According to Alvarez, receiving the 25th Boeing 787 is not just a numerical milestone; it demonstrates Aeroméxico's ongoing commitment to evolving as a modern and world-class airline. The Dreamliner has been pivotal in expanding Aeroméxico's long-haul service, providing the reliability and efficiency customers expect.

“Celebrating this delivery alongside Boeing and AerCap represents our dedication to enhancing the flying experience, while continuing to expand our long-haul network,” Alvarez added. The partnership illustrates the synergy between the three entities as they work together towards a sustainable future in aviation.

Boeing’s Vice President of Global Leasing Commercial Sales and Marketing, Patrick McKelvey, remarked on the importance of this partnership, stating, “These milestone deliveries highlight the strategic value of our relationships and the critical role of AerCap and Aeroméxico in the 787 program. We are proud to note that we have now delivered more 787 Dreamliners to AerCap than to any other customer, a testament to their trust in our aircraft technology since they were the first lessor to take delivery of the 787 back in 2013.”

This landmark event is particularly vital as it coincides with AerCap's ongoing commitment to lead the aviation leasing market, serving around 300 customers globally with innovative fleet solutions. The delivery not only enhances the operational capabilities of Aeroméxico but also underlines the forward-looking strategies being adopted by the airline to solidify its position within the competitive aviation market.

As the aviation industry continues to evolve, partnerships like those between AerCap, Boeing, and Aeroméxico will be essential to ensure that air travel remains efficient, reliable, and sustainable. With the successful delivery of these Dreamliners, the future looks promising for all parties involved, and they eagerly anticipate continuing their collaborative journey in aviation excellence.
