Alycia Mondavi explained how essential it is to showcase important nutritional facts prominently on both the front and back labels of the wines. With a price point ranging from $7 to $8, these wines will stand out as the first in their category to feature nutritional information. The push for this transparent labeling comes from Alycia's personal experiences with health. Having a family history of diabetes and recently being diagnosed with a gluten allergy, she understands the frustrations of not having critical information available when shopping. Many wine barrels utilize a gluten-based product for sealing, which can potentially affect those with gluten sensitivities. The redesigned label caters to consumers' needs for honesty and accessibility in a product that's often shrouded in mystery.

Visually, the new label pays homage to the rich heritage of the Mondavi family through a striking black-and-white photo collage drawn from Alycia's personal family albums. It emphasizes core values like tradition, community, sustainability, and the art of preservation that have defined the winery since its inception. Alycia, also known for her creative collaborations with Dark Matter and Aloft in the Mondavi Sisters collection, brought valuable consumer insights and design expertise to this project.

The updated CK Mondavi wine portfolio will feature ten varietals, all spirits of California Grown grapes, aligning with the family’s commitment to local sourcing. Priced at approximately $7.99 for 750ml and $14.99 for the 1.5L bottles, the wines will be easily accessible nationwide while proudly advertising their California origins. Since its establishment in 1946, CK Mondavi has relied on California-grown grapes, either from their own vineyards or from partnerships with local family growers.
