Nabsys Expands Operations with New Headquarters in Providence

Nabsys 2.0, LLC, a leading innovator in electronic genome mapping (EGM) technology, has officially announced its plans to relocate to a brand-new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island. The company signed a lease for a 30,000-square-foot facility situated at 225 Dyer Street, right in the heart of the city's growing life sciences and innovation district known as the 195 District.

Scheduled to move in July 2027, Nabsys's new headquarters will serve as a consolidation point for its manufacturing, technology development, research and development (R&D), and general administrative operations. This strategic relocation underscores the company's commitment to furthering advancements in whole genome structural variant analysis, specifically through its flagship product, the OhmX™ Analyzer.

The entire seventh floor of the new building will be dedicated to Nabsys, placing the company amongst other significant players in the innovation economy, including the notable CIC Providence and Brown University. The Rhode Island Commerce Board has approved a Qualified Jobs Incentive tax credit aimed at facilitating Nabsys's hiring initiatives. Furthermore, the Rhode Island Life Science Hub (RILSH) has granted a Rhode Island Growth Catalyst award to assist with the construction of the new headquarters. In addition, the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission is considering further support for this strategic development through its I-195 Redevelopment Project Fund.

Governor Dan McKee highlighted the broader economic implications of Nabsys's expansion, stating, "Today's announcement is a meaningful example of continued efforts to grow Rhode Island's economy and create opportunity. Nabsys's expansion will bring hundreds of high-quality jobs to our state in the years ahead while strengthening Rhode Island's growing life sciences sector."

Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor also noted the significance of Nabsys's move into the innovative setting of 225 Dyer Street, appreciating the partnership among the Commerce Corporation, the 195 Commission, and the Rhode Island Life Science Hub, all of which supported this key company's milestone.
