ChangAn Automobile's Commitment to Smart and Sustainable Mobility in Europe
On March 21, 2025, ChangAn Automobile unveiled its ambitious plans for intelligent mobility at a significant event in Munich. Known for its innovations in low-emission mobility technologies, ChangAn launched its Dubhe Plan 2.0, showcasing advancements in intelligent driving, connectivity, and interaction. This initiative aims to meet the increasing demand for sustainable travel options across Europe by providing efficient, low-emission solutions for the future of mobility.
The Evolution of Dubhe Plan
Since the introduction of its Dubhe Plan 1.0 in 2018, ChangAn has consistently played a leading role in developing smart vehicles aimed at ushering in a new era of intelligent mobility. Under Dubhe Plan 1.0, the company achieved notable milestones, such as the complete connectivity of new vehicle models since 2020 and the implementation of driver assistance systems across all new products. Additionally, ChangAn has secured certifications for L3 level autonomous driving technology in China. The company also introduced voice-controlled features in its vehicles, with its intelligent voice assistant XiaoAn currently serving 4.68 million users.
Innovating for the Future
Dubhe Plan 2.0 puts a heavier emphasis on breakthroughs in areas such as intelligent driving, networking, and user interactions. ChangAn's vision is to deliver 'intuitive intelligent vehicles driven by AI that genuinely understand and cater to users’ needs.' This is not just a vision; it is a strategic plan centered on the democratization of intelligent vehicles, supported by a dual strategy of independent innovation and cooperative development.
To achieve these goals, ChangAn is introducing four major smart upgrades to facilitate effective, low-emission, and intelligent mobility solutions. Starting in 2025, the company will no longer develop new products outside the category of intelligent solutions, reinforcing its commitment to a smart transformation.
Cutting-Edge Technology Development
In its latest efforts, ChangAn is also ramping up investments in research and development to create next-generation battery technologies. The newest all-solid-state battery boasts an energy density of up to 400 Wh/kg, capable of delivering more than 1500 km on a full charge. Safety enhancements through AI-based remote diagnostics have improved safety by 70%, based on data from tests conducted in China, aiming to eliminate risks associated with liquid batteries.
A functional prototype of the solid-state battery will be showcased by the end of the year, with assembly and verification scheduled for 2026 and mass production targeted for 2027. Additionally, the company has developed a leading ring network architecture with software-defined access (SDA), now in mass production and featured in model CHANG-AN E07.
With a global R&D team consisting of 13,000 experts from over 30 countries, ChangAn is at the forefront of integrating transformative technologies into vehicles, delivering smart and sustainable mobility solutions to global markets.
Launching the DEEPAL S07
At the Munich event, ChangAn also unveiled the DEEPAL S07, a model designed to enhance user comfort, safety, and convenience. Key features include a 15.6-inch adjustable screen, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an advanced augmented reality heads-up display (AR-HUD). Additional safety measures encompass a 360-degree camera, a dash cam, and a transparent underbody view, while smart gesture recognition and adjustable driving modes ensure user comfort.
With its intelligent technologies, ChangAn is entering the European market at full throttle, ready to support low-emission sustainable travel and establish itself as a leading technological innovator in the future of transportation, offering effective and intelligent solutions for environmentally friendly travel.
