'Taste of Iceland' festival on May 30 and 31, 2025. This event will take place across multiple venues in Daikanyama and Shinjuku, celebrating various aspects of Icelandic culture through the senses. Organized by

A Tradition of Cultural Celebration
For over two decades, 'Taste of Iceland' has captivated audiences across North America, drawing in approximately 5,000 visitors each year. Tokyo's rendition of this cultural showcase aims to deepen the appreciation for Iceland through immersive experiences. Visitors can expect to enjoy unique presentations, special lectures about the aurora borealis and the total solar eclipse slated for 2026, and a chance to meet prominent figures from Iceland's artistic community.

A Taste of Icelandic Cuisine
One of the highlights of this festival will undoubtedly be the
Icelandic Menu event hosted at
Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo. From May 30 to 31, guests will be able to savor a full-course meal featuring Icelandic master chef
Hafliði Halldórsson and local chef
Yūho Hozumi. The culinary experience will include exquisite seafood, lamb, and the famous Icelandic yogurt, Ísey skyr, showcasing the finest flavors from the Nordic island.
