On October 28, 2025, CeraVe, the leading dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in the USA, marked its significant role on World Skin Health Day by partnering with the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and the International Society of Dermatology (ISD). The campaign was designed to tackle the global skincare crisis affecting billions who lack access to dermatological care.

A Crisis of Access



Skin diseases impact nearly a third of the global population, yet in many regions, the availability of dermatological services is drastically low. In fact, billions of people, especially in underserved areas, are without sufficient access to dermatologists. CeraVe's recent initiative reached over 3,900 patients worldwide, highlighting the urgent need to bridge this gap in healthcare provision.

With World Skin Health Day held annually on July 8, the event not only educates about skin health but also promotes discussions and activities aimed at improving skin health across the globe. In its second consecutive year as an official corporate partner for the initiative, CeraVe's activism spanned nine countries, significantly raising awareness and fostering engagement.

This year's efforts saw contributions from individuals and organizations across 76 countries. Their collective stories and campaign messages resonated with over 4.5 million people, marking an unprecedented outreach that included a celebration of CeraVe’s 20th anniversary.   • - Nigeria: More than 1,200 patients accessed dermatological services for the first time.

  • - Philippines: Nearly 50 dermatologists treated 163 patients in remote communities, while also training 136 healthcare workers.

In the U.S., CeraVe collaborated with the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) to enhance skin health among underserved populations. Dermatologists volunteered their time to examine patients at NAFC clinics, while L'Oreal skincare counselors facilitated educational sessions that benefited both patients and volunteers, fostering ongoing commitment to skin health.
