CooperVision Introduces MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day Contact Lenses

CooperVision has announced the upcoming launch of its latest product, the MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses, aimed at controlling myopia, popularly known as nearsightedness. This innovative lens, designed specifically for children, combines ActivControl® technology with the advanced silicone hydrogel material utilized in the MyDay® line of lenses.

This launch is significant as myopia affects a staggering number of individuals, with projections suggesting that one in two children born today may develop myopia by the time they reach 20 years of age. This condition can tremendously impact one's quality of life, making everyday activities like attending school or playing sports more challenging. Many children experience rapid progression of myopia, necessitating early intervention to manage its effects effectively.
