Introducing the New Yayoiken Restaurant on SBS Street
On November 27, 2023, Yayoiken, a well-known Japanese set meal restaurant owned by Plenus Co., Ltd., will open its latest location on SBS Street in Shizuoka. This marks an essential addition to Yayoiken's expanding network, which currently boasts 361 branches across Japan as of October 2025.
A Modern Take on Tradition
The Shizuoka SBS Street restaurant embodies a refined design that presents a new brand image unveiled in December 2023. The exterior features a sophisticated logo and symbol that blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern elements. This is highlighted by the use of a contemporary, non-rounded Mincho font for the logo, which creates a harmonious balance between Japanese characters and English text.
Furthermore, the restaurant’s interior is adorned with wall decorations that utilize wallpaper inspired by the historical significance of the brand's origins, which can be traced back to ‘Yayoiken’. The design is in line with Yayoiken’s brand statement of ‘premium quality’ and aims to provide a warm and inviting dining environment.
Enhanced Dining Experience
To allow guests to take their time in selecting meals, the restaurant incorporates a tablet system at each table for placing orders, which enhances convenience and comfort. Additionally, the restaurant features a selection of exclusive dessert items tailored for customers to enjoy after their main courses. The drink bar is also available for those who wish to relax and explore a variety of refreshments while dining.
Yayoiken continues to offer its signature ‘Kaoru Souzou’ (Free refill station) for rice, broth, and pickles so customers can indulge in their favorite accompaniments.
