Brown Plus Expands Its Reach with Ross Buehler Falk Acquisition in 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, Brown Plus will incorporate the operations of Ross Buehler Falk & Company, LLP (commonly referred to as RBF), enhancing its team with an additional 24 individuals. This strategic decision underscores Brown Plus's commitment to expanding its operational capacity and ensuring top-notch advisory services for its clients in the Central Pennsylvania region.
Jeffrey Bleacher, Managing Partner at RBF, expressed enthusiasm regarding the merger: "Joining Brown Plus allows us to expand our capacity to serve clients and deliver advisory services that will complement the services we already provide." He emphasized the importance of shared values, stating that choosing a firm with a strong client service philosophy and caring culture was pivotal for RBF's decision to merge with Brown Plus.
Founded in 1985, RBF has been dedicated to offering innovative solutions that align with clients' business objectives. The firm has built long-lasting relationships founded on personal attention and integrity, which are crucial in today’s fast-evolving accounting landscape. With its deep roots in the Lancaster community, RBF celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, marking a significant milestone in its history.
Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at Brown Plus, welcomed RBF warmly, noting their impressive track record and shared principles. "We have great excitement for RBF joining our team. They have demonstrated commitment to client success and embody the values we uphold. This merger is also a strategic acquisition aimed at strengthening our presence in Lancaster while fostering a workspace that prioritizes the well-being of our people," Wolfe stated.
With this acquisition, Brown Plus, headquartered in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, will grow to include 166 team members, now encompassing 22 Principals. Notably, current RBF Partners Sean Smith and Jeffrey Groff will transition into the Principal roles at Brown Plus.
As part of this transition, Jeffrey Bleacher plans to retire after over 40 years of invaluable service, having successfully navigated significant industry changes throughout his tenure, including technological advancements and complex regulatory modifications. His leadership established a robust foundation upon which RBF will continue to thrive under the Brown Plus banner.
Post-merger, RBF will operate under the Brown Plus name. The firm is also keen on keeping the existing RBF Lancaster office operational until the conclusion of the 2026 tax season to facilitate a seamless integration with the current Brown Plus Lancaster location.
