Latest June 2025 Ranking Reveals Top 272 E-Commerce Site Speeds

Latest June 2025 E-Commerce Site Speed Ranking

In the digital business landscape, site speed is crucial. Gaprise Inc., a digital commerce support company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has recently published its June 2025 ranking of e-commerce site loading speeds across 272 websites.

Overview of the Research

The analysis was conducted using data collected as of June 2025. The subjects of this investigation were the top 300 organizations from the 83rd ranking of online sales, with a focus on domestic Japanese sites that achieve a monthly traffic of 100,000 or more. The data collection method involved utilizing Google's official dataset from the Chrome User Experience Report to compare the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) metric of each site's domain, particularly on 4G connections and mobile devices.

Understanding LCP

LCP, or Largest Contentful Paint, is a key metric identified by Google in its Core Web Vitals that gauges the time it takes for a webpage to showcase its primary content, typically the largest image or header text. The lower the LCP value, the faster the primary content displays, leading to a quicker and more favorable loading experience for users. Google establishes a threshold where loading times of under 2.5 seconds indicate a good user experience, while times exceeding 4 seconds are deemed poor. Notably, Renault's examples highlight that an LCP under 1 second can significantly enhance user engagement.

Top 10 Rankings

A crucial highlight of this ranking is that all top 10 sites achieved an impressive LCP of below 1.1 seconds. Leading the pack is 'AmiAmi Online Shop,' alongside 'Tamago Base' and 'Shiseido Parlor,' showcasing exceptional loading times that set benchmarks in their respective sectors.

In total, around 72% of the 272 examined sites succeeded in achieving an LCP under 2.5 seconds, demonstrating that a majority of e-commerce platforms recognize the importance of page speed and are actively working to improve it.

A remarkable entry into the top 10 this month includes 'BAYCREW’S STORE,' which has dramatically risen from 55th place. Month after month, they demonstrated a consistent reduction in LCP: from 1.81 seconds in February to just 0.987 seconds in June, showcasing their commitment to enhancing user experience.

Consistent Performance by Top Companies

The top 5 websites maintained their rankings, reflecting continuous performance excellence in interaction and load times. Among them, 'Muranuchi.com' stands out for claiming the top position in LCP rankings, reinforcing their reputation for delivering optimal user experiences.

By measuring both LCP and INP, businesses can obtain a comprehensive evaluation of their site's performance. Companies report improvements through various strategies, including optimizing JavaScript execution and enhancing rendering performance, pointing to the need for ongoing improvements to both LCP and INP metrics.

Future Steps for Improvement

Looking ahead, it’s essential for companies to adopt a holistic approach when considering site performance improvement strategies. Regular assessments of core web vitals, including LCP and INP, will be vital for driving significant enhancements.
