KARA's Jiyoung Collaborates with ONE WORLD at Haneda Airport
The ONE WORLD project, operated by the Chronos Preservation Foundation and founded on the principle of connecting cultures for future generations, is set to launch a collaboration with Jiyoung, a member of the legendary K-pop girl group KARA and an actress. This initiative will commence in late December 2025 at the WAKURABA space in Haneda Airport’s Terminal 2.
The project will feature Jiyoung’s sake brand, KIKYUKA, which embodies the essence of Japanese traditional culture while contributing a portion of sales to support recovery efforts in the Noto Peninsula, as well as cultural heritage preservation through the Chronos Foundation. This venture blends cultural appreciation with genuine social contribution.
ONE WORLD: Connecting Cultures Globally
The mission of the ONE WORLD project is to present a unified message of cultural exchange that transcends borders and genres. It aims to 1) promote global cultural outreach, 2) expand education, and 3) encourage a culture of giving. The initiative aims to create a continuous cycle of empathy and inspiration, fostering a global cultural network that will be passed down to future generations.
In October of this year, the project held an opening event at Mitsui-dera, a UNESCO Memory of the World site, supported by celebrated artists like GACKT and calligraphic master Yoshikawa Juichi. The event emphasized the crucial role of cultural preservation through stunning artistic expression.
Haneda Airport has been chosen as the next platform for this mission, with Jiyoung acting as a global ambassador, promoting empathy and inspiration across the globe.
