Strider Bikes Donates Balance Bikes to Support Children at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital

In a heartwarming initiative aimed at bringing joy to young patients, Strider Bikes, a leading name in the production of balance bikes, is set to make a significant donation to Monument Health Rapid City Hospital. On February 17, Strider will be presenting a selection of balance bikes and accessories to enhance the experience of children receiving care on the pediatric floor. This thoughtful contribution is a reflection of Strider's commitment to uplifting the spirits of children facing health challenges.

The donation will include six specially designed balance bikes suitable for children aged from 6 months to 6 years. The models featured in the donation are the Strider 2-in-1 Rocking Bikes for younger toddlers, the Strider 12 Sports for slightly older toddlers, and the Strider 14x Bikes tailored for preschool-age children. Alongside these bikes, the donation also comprises adjustable helmets and a storage rack to keep all equipment organized.

In addition to the balance bikes, Strider has partnered with Monument Health to revamp the hospital's playroom, which will now feature inspiring new artwork that encourages active play and sparks children's imaginations. This collaboration underscores the importance of play in a child's development, particularly in a hospital setting where they might experience anxiety or discomfort due to their health conditions.

Ryan McFarland, CEO of Strider Sports International, expressed his gratitude for this collaborative opportunity with Monument Health. "We feel so fortunate to have the chance to impact the children at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital and so grateful to The Monument Health Foundation for allowing us to collaborate with them," McFarland stated. He further elaborated on the joy that riding a bike can bring to a child's face, especially in challenging circumstances. The mission of Strider has always been to foster joy and freedom through riding, and this initiative is an extension of that mission.

The donation event is scheduled to take place at 11:30 AM MT on February 17, where the Strider team will formally present the bikes to the hospital staff and children. Media representatives interested in covering this event can reach out to Carissa Chalcraft for more details.
