Through these experiences, Nagakura confronts profound questions about existence: "What does it mean to live?" and "What do we connect to in our lives?"

Artist's Message
Hiroshi Nagakura reflects on his encounters and the profound connections he has established with the people he met throughout his travels. He muses, "What do I possess? What do I strive for, and what do I wish to connect with?" For half a century, armed with his camera, he has sought answers as he sprinted across savannas, crossed canyons, and navigated mountain ranges. Battling the scorching heat of deserts and the biting cold of tundras, he continually interrogated not only the essence of living but the very significance of capturing life through his lens.
