This event has a rich history dating back to 2004, focusing on various social challenges affecting our communities. The forum aims to share insights, foster dialogue, and encourage citizen action towards addressing these pressing issues.
Purpose of the Forum
The Voluntary Forum Tokyo 2026 seeks to empower citizens by emphasizing the importance of taking action and nurturing imagination to bring about positive societal change. The overarching theme for this year's event is "Changing the Future, Taking on Challenges — Action & Imagination." Participants will engage in discussions about how individual contributions can lead to a better collective future.
Event Details
The forum will feature 19 subcommittees, each addressing specific social topics. Organized in a committee structure, it brings together volunteers and community leaders across various fields, creating a rich environment for collaboration and problem-solving.
- - Date: February 7 (Saturday) and February 8 (Sunday), 2026
- - Location: Iidabashi Central Plaza and additional sites, with some sessions available online and through fieldwork.
- - Participation Fee: Access to one subcommittee costs ¥1,000. For attending three or more subcommittees at the venue or for fieldwork, a flat fee of ¥3,000 applies. Students (including vocational school students) and those under 18 can participate for free.
