MetLife Women's Futsal League Days
The MetLife Women's Futsal League, now in its final season 2025-26, is set to hold its exciting 13th round in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. This remarkable event, known as the "MetLife Women's Futsal League Title Partner Celebration Days," will take place with the full support of MetLife Insurance Company. This partnership with the Japan Futsal League has been crucial in energizing the local community and promoting women's futsal.
As part of the celebrations, the Kobe site of MetLife Insurance Company is commemorating its 20th anniversary with a series of engaging events, emphasizing their commitment to CSR activities aimed at creating a vibrant and sustainable community. One notable initiative is a special giveaway: the first 2,000 attendees over the two days will receive beautifully crafted wooden smartphone stands, made from leftover timber from the "Eco-Rana Forest" project in Miyagi Prefecture. This project helps sustain forests for future generations while allowing attendees to enjoy the natural touch and aroma of the wood.
Special Exhibition Match with Ashizaru FC
On Sunday, October 26, Ashizaru FC—a popular futsal-themed YouTuber group with over 2.9 million subscribers—will hold an exciting exhibition match. Fifteen elementary school students, randomly selected from those who registered, will get the chance to compete against members of Ashizaru FC, including well-known figures such as Nobu-kun, Dangan-kun, Kanya, and Rain. The exhibition aims to inspire young futsal enthusiasts by offering a rare opportunity to witness high-level gameplay up close. In addition, their merchandise will be available for sale, making it an even more appealing event for fans and futsal lovers alike.
Achieving the 1,600 Spectators Project
The 13th round not only features thrilling matches but also launches the "1600 Spectators Project - Kobe to Philippines 1600!" This campaign aims to attract over 1,600 spectators and is vital for uplifting the crowds in the wake of previous Covid-19 restrictions. As part of this initiative, various engaging activities will be organized alongside MetLife Insurance Company, strategically designed to enhance the overall event experience.
The Japanese Women's Futsal National Team made history by winning the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup in May 2025 and successfully qualifying for the inaugural FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup to be held in the Philippines in November 2025. During this monumental event, the community in Kobe invites 1,600 voices of support to cheer on the players as they prepare for their journey to the Philippines, which lies approximately 1,600 miles away.
Special Guest Appearance by Daisuke Matsui
On the final day, the event will be graced by a special guest, Daisuke Matsui, chairman of the Japan Futsal League. He commented, "This match precedes the historic Women's Futsal World Cup, promising intense and thrilling gameplay as national team candidates battle for a chance to represent Japan. Together, let’s gather over 1,600 fans to send our team off to the Philippines! The presence of beloved YouTubers Ashizaru FC will amplify the atmosphere with exciting activities, ensuring there's fun for everyone, from children to adults. I hope to see you all at the venue!"
