NAKED Meets Gaudí Exhibition: A Transformative Experience
The highly acclaimed
NAKED meets Gaudí exhibition concluded its run in Tokyo and Osaka, attracting a staggering total of
330,000 visitors. Hosted by
NAKED, INC., the exhibition was part of the official commemorative events celebrating the
100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudí's death and the completion of the main tower of
Sagrada Família, known as the
Tower of Jesus. The exhibition took place at two locations:
Terada Warehouse G1 in Tokyo from January 10 to March 15, 2026, and at
VS. in Gran Green Osaka from April 17 to June 15, 2026.
This exhibition was the first of its kind, having established a
global licensing agreement with the
Gaudí Foundation. NAKED brilliantly combined rare exhibits with unique, immersive art experiences that explored the profound ideas and natural beauty inherent in Gaudí's creations. Visitors had the rare opportunity to engage deeply with Gaudí's inspirations, gaining insights into his exceptional worldview through a blend of architecture, art, and technology. The exhibition aimed to offer an evolution of the traditional viewing experience, breaking boundaries and enhancing interactivity.
At the Tokyo venue,
170,000 attendees were welcomed, while the Osaka show recorded
160,000 visitors. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, showcasing how well-received creative experiences can resonate with the public and immerse them in cultural and historical narratives.
NAKED, under the leadership of
Ryotaro Muramatsu, has continued to innovate at the intersection of art and technology since its inception in
1997. The organization has carved out a niche for itself by transcending various creative realms and delivering transformative experiences that encompass art, culture, education, and sports.
In recent years, NAKED has also ventured into the realms of the
metaverse,
AR, and

NAKED GARDEN ONE KYOTO, which began in
2022, are aimed at bridging the gap between virtual and real experiences in promoting Kyoto’s cultural heritage and artistic endeavors. Furthermore, from
2025, they will launch the
Garden Project at
Kyoto Station plaza, intending to feature a fusion of tradition, gastronomy, and art to create a unique tourism experience that blends the lines of everyday life and cultural exploration.
Past highlights of NAKED's work include the stunning
projection mapping at
Tokyo Station, the ongoing participatory art exhibition
NAKED FLOWERS, and the uniquely themed restaurant
TREE by NAKED yoyogi park. The organization has also been instrumental in high-profile events like the G7 summit and collaborative initiatives with esteemed locales such as
Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore and
Nijō Castle in Kyoto.
NAKED's commitment to redefining how we experience culture by integrating it with cutting-edge technology continues to evolve. As NAKED looks to the future, their mission to showcase cultural narratives in innovative ways remains steadfast.
