Capital Square Expands Sales Team with New Vice Presidents in Southeast and Blue Ridge Regions

Capital Square Expands Its Leadership Team

On December 16, 2025, Capital Square, a prominent player in tax-advantaged real estate investments, revealed a strategic expansion of its sales team with the appointments of Mick McClendon as Senior Vice President of Southeast Sales and Preston Nevins as Vice President of Southeast and Blue Ridge Sales. This move aims to bolster the company's position in crucial regions and improve its service to advisors and investors.

New Roles and Responsibilities

Mick McClendon will focus on providing essential sales and marketing support to broker-dealers, registered investment advisors (RIAs), and affiliated advisors across several Southeastern states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, Preston Nevins will take on the responsibility of servicing the Blue Ridge and Southeast territories in his internal wholesaler capacity. Notably, another member of the team, Jack Reifsnider, has been promoted to Regional Vice President, taking over as the external wholesaler for North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Jessica Correnti, Executive Vice President for Distribution and National Accounts at Capital Square, emphasized the importance of these appointments: "Capital Square is elevating its presence across these key regions by bringing together seasoned leadership and exceptional new talent." Correnti highlighted McClendon’s extensive expertise in Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) and opportunity zones, while also recognizing Nevins’s background in multifamily and tax-advantaged investing.

Profiles of New Leaders

Mick McClendon

McClendon brings over two decades of experience in capital markets, focusing on capital raising, sales management, product development, and investor relations. Before joining Capital Square, he was the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at Bonaventure Capital and had significant leadership roles at CIM Group and Inland Securities Corporation. His educational background includes a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, and he holds several FINRA licenses, including Series 7, 24, and 66, along with an insurance producer license.

Preston Nevins

Nevins arrives at Capital Square with a wealth of experience spanning more than 20 years in multi-level sales, operations, and customer support within the financial services and legal fields. His previous role as Vice President of Capital Markets at CEDARst Companies involved raising capital throughout the independent broker-dealer and RIA sectors. Like McClendon, he is also a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Promotion of Jack Reifsnider

In addition to the recent hires, Jack Reifsnider's promotion to Regional Vice President signals Capital Square's commitment to nurturing talent within its ranks. Reifsnider joined the company in January 2025 and has already made a mark by overseeing the Southeast territory and contributing to the RIA division. His earlier experience as an internal wholesaler at Transamerica adds to his qualifications for this elevated role.

Capital Square's Vision

The addition of McClendon, Nevins, and the promotion of Reifsnider are seen as steps toward expanding Capital Square's service framework and capabilities in the Southeast and Blue Ridge regions. With the company's focus on providing exceptional service to financial advisors and their clients, these appointments underscore a commitment to integrity, knowledge, and support.

Founded in 2012, Capital Square has grown significantly, boasting over $7.9 billion in transaction volume and managing diverse real estate properties valued at over $800 million. The firm specializes in tax-advantaged investments through Delaware statutory trusts and qualified opportunity zone funds.

Conclusion

With a strategy centered on enhancing investor relations and building a competent, specialized sales team, Capital Square is positioning itself effectively for future growth. The new leadership is expected to bolster the company's capabilities and commitment to delivering high-quality service to its clients and partners.
