The Westin Nashville has undergone an impressive transformation, completing a significant renovation valued at $13.5 million. This revitalization aims to enhance guest experiences in rooms, suites, and public meeting spaces, signifying a strategic move to align with the ever-evolving expectations of today's travelers.
The renovation was executed efficiently, at a cost of approximately $29,600 per room, remaining both on schedule and under budget. This project, led in partnership with Anderson Design Studio, embraces a modern aesthetic designed to attract both leisure and business travelers. In total, the hotel features 456 rooms, all of which have been refreshed with new hardwood flooring, contemporary furnishings, and updated soft goods, meeting the current design standards upheld by Westin Hotels & Resorts.
Significant enhancements were made to the suites as well, which now boast dedicated dining and living spaces. These updates cater to small meetings, group travel, and extended stays, providing increased functionality and comfort for guests. The public areas, including the lobby, have also seen thoughtful updates, introducing features like Westin's "The Well" water refill station. This station offers guests filtered still and sparkling water, along with reusable bottles for purchase, enhancing environmental consciousness and guest convenience.
Meeting spaces, crucial for business operations, have not been overlooked in this renovation. The Boardroom and Radnor meeting areas have undergone upgrades, which include new flooring, wall coverings, and advanced technology. These changes aim to improve the overall functionality of corporate and large group settings, attracting more professionals to utilize these spaces.
In addition to physical improvements, the renovation project received financial backing through a fixed-rate mezzanine financing deal of $26.56 million with AllianceBernstein. Seamus Ross, CEO of Castlerock, expressed that this renovation represents a deliberate strategy to reposition the asset to better meet traveler expectations and capitalize on Nashville's thriving market. Together with a sound capital strategy, these enhancements are expected to drive long-term value and growth for the hotel.
Now that the renovations are complete, The Westin Nashville is primed to draw both business and leisure travelers, especially with the rising demand within the city's convention market. With upgraded accommodations, improved meeting capabilities, comfortable social spaces, and a renewed commitment to wellness, The Westin Nashville stands out as a prime destination for both work and relaxation in downtown Nashville.
