From May 31st to June 27th, Jinbocho Theater is hosting a special screening titled "Uta to Eiga" (Songs and Movies), celebrating the unforgettable songs featured in classic Japanese films. Known for its focus on old films, this intimate theater in the heart of Tokyo's book district highlights the enduring magic of cinema through memorable musical moments.

The series will feature famed Japanese films that have captured audiences' hearts through their powerful music, with special emphasis on noteworthy directors and actors. One of the standout films is the 1964 musical masterpiece, "Kimi mo Shusse ga Dekiru" (You Can Succeed Too), which boasts the exquisite score by composer Toshirō Mayuzumi and lyrics by Shuntarō Tanikawa. Despite being over sixty years old, the film has maintained its charm, leaving a lasting impression on viewers worldwide.

The lineup also includes memorable tracks that have become synonymous with Japanese cinema. For instance, 'Slow Boogie' from Minami Yoshitaka in the film "Suro na Bugy ni Shite Kure," and Yumi Matsutoya's hit song
