Kengo Suzuki from Space Seed Holdings Presents at IVS2025

Space Seed Holdings, led by CEO Kengo Suzuki, recently participated in Japan's largest startup conference, IVS2025, held from July 2 to July 4 in Kyoto. Representing the company at the DEEP TECH STAGE on July 2, Suzuki engaged in insightful discussions about the social implementation of technology alongside esteemed panelists such as Professor Yoshihiro Kawahara from the University of Tokyo, Professor Junichi Rokutani from the University of Tokyo and Sony CSL, and Honoka Yoshikawa from Trejem Biopharma.

The session titled "Current Trends in Social Implementation of Technology" focused on the critical gap between research and its application in society. The panelists explored how universities, enterprises, and government entities can work together to bridge this divide, aiming to foster a collaborative environment for innovation.

Kengo Suzuki shared his personal experiences in entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of not only developing great products but also ensuring they reach the market effectively. He recounted the challenges faced after establishing a mass cultivation technique for microalgae, revealing the stark reality that having a great product does not guarantee sales. His journey culminated in the successful listing of Space Seed Holdings on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Mothers market after seven years.

In his presentation, Suzuki outlined the mission of Space Seed Holdings as a venture builder focused on deep tech and venture investments. He introduced Regenesome, a startup founded under Space Seed Holdings, which aims to tackle longevity research with a vision for living on the Moon in the 2040s. Regenesome has already secured an impressive ¥110 million in funding, and they are making significant strides in research and patent applications, indicating plans for further fundraising rounds in the future.

Space Seed Holdings is committed to supporting the social implementation of technology within the deep tech sector, striving to act as a bridge between research and business initiatives. Their participation in IVS2025 underlines their dedication to innovation as they continue to explore cutting-edge solutions.
