Huawei Launches Advanced Xinghe Intelligent Network for Northern Africa

Huawei has recently unveiled its cutting-edge offerings of the Xinghe Intelligent Network during the Huawei Network Summit 2025 held in Marrakech, Morocco. This event attracted over 400 industry leaders, technical experts, and representatives from various countries including Egypt, Ivory Coast, and Ethiopia. The unveiling signifies Huawei's commitment to driving digital transformation across Northern Africa through innovative network solutions.

The new lineup includes robust products designed to enhance campus networks, wide area networks (WAN), data center networks, and network security. These solutions aim to integrate artificial intelligence into network frameworks, propelling the region into an era of increased intelligence and connectivity.

As the pace of AI technology accelerates worldwide, Huawei is positioning itself at the forefront of this change. Chris Meng, the president of ICT Marketing Solution Sales for Huawei in Northern Africa, emphasized that the continent is at a pivotal point in its digital transition. He stated, “Africa today stands at the crossroads of digital and intelligent transformation, necessitating a smart ICT infrastructure to support this shift.” Huawei aims to utilize its expertise to boost Africa’s digital economy and create a better future in partnership with its clients.

Richard Wu, the Vice President of Huawei's Data Transmission Product Line, elaborated on how rapidly advancing AI technologies are redefining data communication. The Xinghe Intelligent Network leverages AI capability across various device series, with the assistance of NetMaster—a network AI agent. This collaboration promises enhanced AI-powered experiences, assurance, resilience, and security, catering to the evolving demands of the communications sector.

To better tailor its offerings, Huawei has introduced innovative products alignable with the needs of nominal accounts, commerce, and distribution sectors. Among the highlighted innovations are the Wi-Fi 7 solution adaptable to all scenarios, the industry’s first 128 x 800GE fixed Ethernet switch, the unique StarryLink optical modules boasting characteristics of being spanning, stable, and secure, as well as an industry-first router featuring multi-rate interfaces from 64 kbps to 400 Gbps.

The company is also rolling out advanced solutions in AI specifically designed for key scenarios across ten industry sectors, including education and healthcare, aimed at expediting intelligent upgrades. Furthermore, for global distribution markets, Huawei is providing over ten popular eKit products along with one-click AI troubleshooting tools to assist partners in fast-tracking the digital journey for small and medium enterprises.

At the summit, industry leaders from Northern Africa shared insights into their practices with Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent Network. For instance, Krichene Saoussen, the General Manager of the Khawarizmi Computing Center in Tunisia, discussed deploying a 10 Gbps campus network using Huawei’s technology. Similarly, Mehdi Saidi from Crédit du Maroc elaborated on the implementation of Huawei’s Xinghe Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Data Center Network Solution to create an active-active data center network.

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to deepen its collaboration with partners to further integrate AI into its networking solutions to leverage smart transformation opportunities on the African continent. By doing so, it aims to unlock boundless possibilities for growth and prosperity across the region, ensuring a digitally empowered Africa.
