The 15th ZTE Global Summit and User Congress was inaugurated today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking a significant event as it coincides with the GSMA M360 ASEAN for the first time. This year’s summit revolves around the theme "Architecting Infinity from Connectivity to Digital Value," highlighting ZTE's commitment to leading the transformation toward a digitally-driven future.

Over 500 distinguished participants gathered, including high-ranking officials from the Malaysian government, the Chinese ambassador, GSMA leaders, and executives from global operators and industry partners. The discussions centered on network evolution, AI-driven innovations, and the growth of the digital economy in the region.

In his opening remarks, YB Dato' Seri Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications in Malaysia, emphasized the necessity for the next digital phase to transcend mere connectivity. He called for better public services, stronger businesses, and more opportunities that will provide tangible values to Malaysians. "We should not just sell to Malaysia; we need to collaborate with Malaysia," he urged, underscoring the importance of local talent development and nurturing national capabilities to foster innovations beneficial to the broader ASEAN market.

Similarly, YB Gobind Singh Deo, the Minister for Digital, elaborated on translating artificial intelligence into significant economic and social benefits. He emphasized that to establish Malaysia as a leading AI nation by 2030, it is essential to look beyond infrastructure, cultivate local talent, strengthen trustworthy governance, and empower domestic innovators to create global solutions.

During the summit, Ouyang Yujing, the Chinese ambassador to Malaysia, remarked, "Connectivity defines our era and innovation shapes our future. As digital networks bridge the world, AI drives a new era of shared prosperity. China is committed to fostering growth that is open, inclusive, and secure." He reiterated China’s readiness to collaborate with global partners to deepen technology exchanges, create industry synergies, and develop shared governance.

ZTE’s Executive Vice President and COO, Xie Junshi, also delivered a keynote, noting, "Connectivity and computing are converging. This is an important trend in our industry. As we witness the steady global expansion of 5G, AI is emerging as a key growth driver. Markets may progress at different speeds, but we are all heading in the same direction—leveraging computing power fully."

Xie emphasized, "Connectivity has laid our foundation. Intelligence drives us. Infinity is our horizon, and together we will shape it."

In another key address, ZTE’s Senior Vice President, Zhang Wanchun, discussed the company’s vision for the future of digital infrastructure, outlining their strategy of integrating connected technologies with artificial intelligence. This strategy, according to Zhang, encompasses four steps: Vision, Volume, Value, and Venture.

ZTE showcased its advanced AI-driven connectivity solutions and innovative AI devices at the summit, providing attendees with insights into a comprehensive commercial roadmap from connectivity to scenario-based terminals. This roadmap symbolizes ZTE's ambition to bridge technology with market needs and the industrial ecosystem.
