The Light Novel Expo 2025 hosted by KADOKAWA is just around the corner! From December 19 to December 28, 2025, fans of light novels can gather at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA in Tokyo to celebrate this beloved genre. With an impressive lineup of new merchandise and exciting events, this year's expo promises to be unforgettable.
New Merchandise
This year, attendees can look forward to the launch of 153 new types of merchandise, featuring popular titles such as Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World, Shakugan no Shana, Fate/strange Fake, and Asobinin no Kankei. The expo will showcase approximately 500 items, including exclusive goods that have been newly illustrated. A standout item this year is the A5 Character Fine Graph, which will be available through a limited-order sale on Kadokawa's 'Kado Store'. In addition, other exciting items will be launched, such as:

Premiere of Collaboration MV "Ranooto"
In a fantastic fusion of light novels and music, KADOKAWA has partnered with Sony Music to bring the collaborative music video titled "Ranooto". This will premiere on the YouTube channel AniTune on December 12, 2025, at noon. Following the premiere, new video segments will be released every few days, featuring catchy tunes linked to various light novels from different decades:

Special Talk Event with Editors
Mark your calendar for December 23, 2025, when the event will host a unique talk event in collaboration with the web novel platform "Kakuyomu". Titled "Must-Read Obsessional Light Novels by Active Editors", the event will feature current editors from KADOKAWA's notable labels, including Dengeki Bunko, Fantasia Bunko, and Sneaker Bunko. They will dive into compelling discussions about beloved titles and what makes them special. It's a golden opportunity for fans to gain insider insights into the industry.
This event will be free to attend on-site for a limited number of participants, with admission tickets being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. For those unable to attend in person, the talk will be live-streamed on the Kakuyomu Discord server.
Community Engagement and Special Activities
The expo is introducing a "Message Corner" where visitors can leave notes about their favorite works or their thoughts on the expo. Everyone who participates will receive a special postcard as a thank-you gift. This is part of KADOKAWA's efforts to foster community engagement, bringing fans closer together.
