IKO Metals Unveils State-of-the-Art Roofing Plant in Ennis, Texas



IKO North America recently celebrated a momentous occasion with the grand opening of its latest manufacturing facility in Ennis, Texas. As the operator of this cutting-edge plant, IKO aims to enhance its production capabilities for high-quality residential metal roofing products. This $60 million investment marks a significant strategic advancement in the roofing sector, fulfilling the growing demand for durable and visually appealing roofing solutions in North America.

The grand opening event, a vibrant gathering of dignitaries, local business leaders, and IKO executives, highlighted not only the unveiling of the plant but also the positive impact on the local economy. Up to 90 new jobs are expected to be created as the facility ramps up operations. The 205,000-square-foot plant is expertly designed to manufacture stone-coated metal roofing that comes in various aesthetically pleasing profiles including tile, shake, and shingle under the established DECRA® and Tilcor brands.
