Grand Opening of Rooted and ReLeaf Shop

On Friday, October 30, a significant new establishment will be opening its doors in Eldersburg, Maryland. Rooted, a collaboration with the well-known ReLeaf Shop, will officially celebrate its grand opening, inviting the local community to experience a new era of cannabis retail. The event will commence with opening remarks at 12:50 p.m. followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. at 1337 Liberty Road.

Rooted marks a strategic partnership between Andrae McEnnis, founder of Rooted Cannabis and a veteran with two decades of military service, and Connor Whelton, co-founder of ReLeaf Shop. Whelton’s family established the ReLeaf Shop in Baltimore back in 2018 and has built a solid reputation for serving both medical and adult-use cannabis customers.

The move to Eldersburg is particularly exciting for McEnnis. He has expressed a genuine commitment to the community, stating, "Most of my projects, I build and hand off. This one I'm going to be in every week. I want people in Eldersburg to be glad we're here, and that starts with how we treat them at the counter." This personal involvement signifies a well-rooted commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement.

Whelton also highlighted the significance of this new location for existing customers, noting that many have traveled considerable distances from neighborhoods like Sykesville, Westminster, and Mount Airy just to shop at their Baltimore store. Now, they can access the same products, experienced staff, and rewards program just a short drive away.

The team at ReLeaf Shop includes not only cannabis retail experts but also seasoned medical professionals. Dr. Andrew Whelton, Connor's father and a distinguished figure in the medical community, is involved in ensuring that the products meet stringent quality standards. As an Army doctor who managed military drug trials, he understands the vital importance of labeling and safety in medical cannabis.

Opening festivities will include a delightful barbecue provided by local favorites George's BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Bearded Ray's from 4 to 7 p.m. Attendees can also enjoy a festive photo booth from 1 to 4 p.m., and live DJ performances from 4 to 7 p.m. Media representatives and spokespeople will be available for interviews from 1 to 3 p.m., ensuring that the community hears all about this exciting new venture.

Rooted will maintain a daily operating schedule from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., complete with free parking. In support of military personnel, the shop offers a generous 25% discount on non-sale items every day for active-duty and retired veterans.

Customers can conveniently place orders online at releaf-shop.com and use their rewards points across both locations. It’s important to note that entry to the sales floor is restricted to adults aged 21 and over, maintaining compliance with local laws and regulations.
