In a thrilling display of problem-solving skills, the Petersburg State University team claimed victory at the ICPC World Finals 2025 held in Baku, Azerbaijan. This prestigious event attracted 140 elite teams from over 50 countries, bringing together the brightest minds in programming. The competition was intense, with participants from six continents demonstrating their coding proficiency and analytical thinking on 12 challenging problems. After a grueling contest, the Petersburg team emerged as champions, marking a significant achievement for the Northeast Eurasian region.

As one of the key sponsors, Huawei played an integral role in shaping the competition. The company set forth a real-world challenge for participants, focusing on the optimization of smartphone gallery images.
