TCL Unveils TAB A1 Series Featuring Two Screen Sizes and Unique Viewing Experiences at IFA 2026

TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics and the top brand for Mini LED and large-format televisions, has made a significant announcement at IFA 2026. The company launched the TCL TAB A1 series, featuring a lineup of four models designed to cater to various user needs for viewing, reading, learning, and working on tablets. The series includes the TCL TAB A1, TCL TAB A1 NXTPAPER, TCL TAB A1 Plus, and TCL TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER.

The TCL TAB A1 series is built around two main dimensions: screen size and viewing experience. The 11-inch models focus on portability, ideal for users who frequently carry their tablets between home, school, and work. These models are designed with a slim profile of just 6.2 mm and support a 2.1K resolution with refresh rates of up to 90 Hz. On the other hand, the TCL TAB A1 Plus, with its 12.2-inch screen, offers a larger workspace that enhances both entertainment and productivity with a resolution of 2.4K and refresh rates that can reach up to 120 Hz. This makes the larger models perfect for watching movies, browsing websites, viewing documents, and using split-screen functionality.

The second defining aspect of the series is the display option. The Standard Display models are tailored for daily entertainment, providing crisp and smooth visuals for streaming content and web surfing. Alternatively, the NXTPAPER versions are made for those who spend significant time reading, studying, or working on a tablet. These screens feature anti-glare treatments, hardware-level blue light control, and selectable viewing modes to ensure a comfortable experience across different content types.

At the top of the line is the TCL TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER, which combines the 12.2-inch 2.4K display with cutting-edge NXTPAPER technology aimed at productivity. This model features a dedicated NXTPAPER key that allows users to switch quickly between three viewing experiences: a standard mode for vibrant color entertainment, a Color Paper mode providing a softer look for illustrated content and reading, and a Monochrome Paper mode, which focuses on traditional text reading.

Also enhancing the user experience, all four models operate on Android 16, combining Google's services with productivity features developed by TCL. This ensures users benefit from a seamless interface and efficient multitasking.

Regarding pricing and availability, the TCL TAB A1 series is set to roll out across select European markets. Prices, colors, configurations, accessories, and packaging contents will vary by country and sales channels, with specific details to be announced for each market.
